Reid Stories: Avengers Fight Scene and VECTO Chapter 2.1

Here is a scene from the Avengers movie:

"The Avengers is a team of superheroes, appearing in comic books published by Marvel Comics. The team made its debut in The Avengers #1 (Sept. 1963), created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist/co-plotter Jack Kirby, following the trend of super-hero teams after the success of DC Comics' Justice League of America.[1]" - Wikipedia

Here's where you can buy the digital movie: Marvel's The Avengers.

And here's my VECTO scene of the week:

(Previously: Vecto, Crysilis, and Streamline stormed New Earth's military police headquarters to find the whereabouts of Morphaal. After Vecto killed the elite SS6 soldiers, the commander, Sable, tells Vecto that Morphaal may plan to conquer a hidden planet called Zendora.)

Vecto thought about the SS6 soldiers he just killed. Was it right for him to kill them because of their affiliation with Sable? Vecto knew that Morphaal’s resurrection was Sable’s doing; therefore, he was right to take actions into his own hands, he convinced himself.

Vecto’s robotic mind tossed information around, quite humanlike. It seemed he couldn’t help but review memory data of Gyro, his deceased friend. He remembered the first time he met him. Vecto joined the Magnatronian War 21 years ago in 3005, the year he was created. He showed up to meet Gyro on his home planet, Hodos. Gyro was young then, and despised Acaterrian robots.

“We conquered Magus, Iados, and Hodos, and we will never bow to the Terrans!” Vecto recalled Gyro saying. Gyro snatched a knife from his side and stabbed Vecto in the head, grinding the sharp blade with his Force Field Shields. Yet Vecto stood, still.

“I am not afraid of you,” Vecto replied.

It was a unique meeting, Vecto thought, and yet over the years, Gyro’s hatred for robots didn’t apply to him. Since Vecto was not an Acaterrian robot, he was different to Gyro. Perhaps it was because he was created by a Dinishman, an ally of the Magnatronians during the war, Vecto thought.

It was as if the two were destined to meet. And yet Gyro was the only one who understood him, who Vecto could rely on, the only being Vecto looked up to. If only he wasn’t dead.

“Hey Vecto,” Crysilis’ voice echoed through Vecto’s head.

Vecto bumped into a guy as they shuffled through crowds of people walking in a business sector of Acaterra, or New Earth. He turned his attention to his A.S. companion.

“Just making sure you’re all there,” Crysilis said. “I’d never thought a robot could daydream.”

Vecto ignored his comment as he passed through the crowd.

“You know, you don’t have to keep disguising yourself,” Crysilis said as he followed behind Vecto’s image of a human suit.

Vecto stopped and faced Crysilis. He took a moment to glance around and motioned for Crysilis to do the same. “Just look around you. What do you see?”

(Why does Vecto disguise like a human? And where will they go next? Find out more in the next installment of VECTO!)
