Reid Stories: Xenogears Cut Scene and VECTO Chapter 1.8

Here's a cut scene for Xenogears for the PlayStation One (it was my favorite game until Xenoblade came out):

"Xenogears (ゼノギアス Zenogiasu?) is a science-fiction role-playing video game developed and published by Squaresoft (now Square Enix) for Sony's PlayStation. It was released on February 11, 1998 in Japan and on October 20, 1998 in North America. The game was never released in PAL territories. It was re-released by Squaresoft as a Greatest Hits title in 2003, and on the PlayStation Network on June 25, 2008 in Japan and on February 22, 2011 in North America." - Wikipedia

Here's where you can find the game: Xenogears - PlayStation.

And here's my VECTO scene of the week:

(Previously: After killing the SS6 soldiers, Vecto emerges from the destruction he caused.)

Sable was the first to rush in the room. He shielded his eyes from the flames as the gases took over to suppress them. He fell to his knees and Vecto walked up the steps and passed him, letting Sable take in the view.

"My--my soldiers." Sable said.

Vecto paid him no mind.

"What did they do to deserve this?!" Sable turned as his rose to his feet and punched Vecto in the back. It made a loud thump, but nothing more. "They're human beings! Protectors of Accatera!"

Vecto glanced around the room at the New Earth Police. They were gaining consciousness, tied up in a corner by Streamline. Vecto turned around, grabbed Sable's arm and twisted it. "You're nothing but a traitor!" he coldly accused him. "If your son Phantom was alive, he'd despise you!"

Vecto twisted his arm more and broke his bones, causing Sable to drop to his knees and curse up a storm.

"Vecto!" Crysilis yelled at him, "That's enough! We weren't supposed to kill anyone!" He and Streamline had only knocked the police out or used concussion blasts, yet Vecto slaughtered the entire SS6, he thought.

Vecto let go of Sable's arm. "I'm getting tired of holding back."

Crysilis then disappeared and reappeared in front of him. "And what do you know about being tired? Huh?"

"Why? Because I'm a just a machine? Is that what you think?"

"Vecto, get over it!" Crysilis put it bluntly. "Ever since Gyro died, you've been taking it out on everyone else. Where's the Vecto with morality? Where's the robot who was human?

Vecto paused but ignored him and knelt down to Sable, who was clinging to his arm. "Now where's Morphaal?"

Sable took the pain. "All right, all right. Talk to my brother Azmeck," he advised. "He's your best chance at finding Zendora. All we know is that Morphaal somehow has the location of the planet and plans to conquer it and make it his base of operations. Find the planet, and you'll find him."

"Return?" Vecto questioned.

"Yeah, he was there when my son and I and Azmeck crashed on the planet," he explained, grunting as he rested his arm on his lap. "We left Zendora by boarding Morphaal's ship. That was about 20 years ago."

"Is that all?" Vecto asked.

"Yeah, if you don't believe me, talk to Azmeck," Sable said. "But we had nothing to do with Morphaal comin' back, I tell ya! These men didn't have to die!"

"Thank you for your cooperation," Vecto said as he stood back up and proceeded down the steps.

Sable watched the three A.S. members leave the room, wondering how his men could have been killed so easily. The whole SS6. Everyone. In flames. All his hard work of training them--just for them to be killed off. He cursed under his breath and slowly stood back up, looking at the pathetic-looking police squad with mufflers on their mouths and wires around them.

He'll get his due. One day, he'll get his ...

(Did Vecto go overboard? His teammates had spared the military police officers, yet Vecto killed the entire SS6. Now that he has a lead on where Morphaal may be, what will Vecto do next? Can he find Zendora's location? Find out more in the next installment of VECTO!)

  2. I think it's safe to say that nobody would want to mess with him.
